The Church of San Giovanni Battista is one of the most beautifully built and decorated places of worship in Rimini. It is located some 200 meters south from the Augustus Arch. It dates back to the early 17th century, when it was built on the site of a former Carmelite edifice (at its turn, dating back as early as the 10th century, before being granted to the Carmelite Order, in the latter half of the 16th century), and it features a considerable artistic patrimony.
It yields great views when lit at nigh.
